We’re Katie and Deborah, and we’ve been friends for 20 years – a friendship that spans generations and life seasons. We’re two women whose faith in Jesus has been tested and strengthened through life’s deepest valleys and highest mountains.
Deborah here: My faith in God has always been my anchor, but it grew even deeper when I lost my son Jeremy Stoke, a firefighter who gave his life serving others. My relationship with God became more raw, more real than ever before. Textbook answers fell away, replaced by a profound intimacy with Jesus that can only be forged in life’s crucible moments.
Katie jumping in: My journey through ministry school awakened my love for the things of the Spirit. But when I lost my brother on Easter morning and my dad 89 days later, my faith wasn’t shaken – it was transformed. In the depths of pain, I discovered layers of God’s faithfulness I’d never known existed.
Why Redeeming Her Exists
This isn’t another space for surface-level spirituality. This is a sacred space for women who:
- Carry deep faith alongside deep questions
- Have experienced losses that have transformed their relationship with God
- Want authentic community that goes beyond Sunday morning pleasantries
- Are walking through seasons that require supernatural strength
- Love Jesus deeply while navigating life’s complexities
- Are carrying stories still in the process of redemption
The Questions We’re Not Afraid to Ask
Let’s be real – sometimes life is messy. We’re creating a space where it’s okay to ask:
- Where is God when tragedy strikes?
- What do you do when prayers go unanswered?
- How do you trust again after betrayal?
- What happens when your life story doesn’t fit the narrative you envisioned?
- How do you navigate disappointment when others expect you to “get over it”?
- What does redemption actually look like in the midst of pain?
The Kind of Community We’re Building
We believe in a God who’s big enough for our biggest questions and present enough for our deepest pain. But we also believe healing happens in community – not the surface-level, Sunday-morning-smile kind, but the real, raw, “I see you and you’re not alone” kind.
This is a place where:
- Your whole story is welcome (not just the Instagram-worthy parts)
- Different perspectives are valued (because God doesn’t fit in our boxes)
- Hard questions are embraced (because wrestling is part of growth)
- Both laughter and tears are welcome (sometimes simultaneously)
- Hope is found in the “me too” moments
An Invitation to Join Us
If you’re carrying a story that feels too heavy, questions that feel too big, or pain that feels too deep, you belong here. If you’re looking for authentic connection with women who get it, this is your place.
We’re figuring this out together – stumbling through podcast recordings, learning to be vulnerable on camera (Deborah’s still working on not freezing when the red light comes on), and building something real in a world that often feels superficial.
What’s Next?
Each week, we’ll be:
- Releasing new podcast episodes (raw conversations about faith, life, and redemption)
- Sharing blog posts that dive deeper into topics covered on the podcast
- Creating space for authentic connection
- Walking this journey together
Because here’s what we know for sure: God doesn’t waste our pain, and He’s not intimidated by our questions. He’s in the business of redemption, even when that looks different than we expected.
With hope and honesty,
Katie & Deborah
P.S. If you’re nodding your head, feeling seen, or thinking “finally,” we’d love for you to join us. Subscribe to the podcast, sign up for our newsletter, or reach out. Because this journey is better when we walk it together.
